It is totally worth planning a little ahead to obtain the no-fee permit to hike the La Honda Creek-Allen Road part of this reserve! I enjoyed the solitude and quiet since I practically had the park to myself. It only took two days to have the permit emailed to you. Very easy! What was not as easy was the one lane portion of the road to get here!
