🥾Anyone planning to hike this weekend? "First Day Hikes" is a tradition started by state park systems inviting everyone to take a hike in a park on January 1 to encourage healthy activities in the outdoors all year long. Whether you walk, run, or roll, there is a trail worth exploring in your local parks!
Special Note: If you plan to explore the newly developed sections of the Griffy Loop Trails this weekend, be advised that conditions are muddy after the recent rain and the current freeze-thaw cycle we are experiencing. Park users are encouraged to plan early morning hikes when trails are more likely to be harden by the cooler temperatures. As always, please practice Leave No Trace Principles and stay on designated trails to protect our natural resources.
