1. The Trail Challenge mentions the Purple Trail but the active map follows the Pink Trail, which is an intermediate level trail. 2. The first quarter of the trail is a bit challenging today because it is a bit steep in places and very slick. 3. The trail is irregular and muddy between markers 5 & 6 where it crosses the Hopewell earthworks. It gets better from the middle. 4. The rest of the Pink Trail was slick in places but otherwise easy.
