Hickory Alley

After being awarded a Living Alleys Community Challenge Grant on behalf of the Friends of Hickory, much-needed improvements to Hickory Street between Van Ness and Franklin Streets began in 2017.  Improvements thus far have included murals and overhead string lighting, to improve the alley's safety and attractiveness. A partnership with ArtSpan has resulted in a major 5-building mural that expresses the concept "What does music look like?" Find out more: http://placelabsf.org/hickory
