The multi-use San Pablo Bay Trail at San Pablo Bay Shoreline will eventually connect the cities of Richmond, San Pablo, Pinole, Hercules, and Rodeo. Some segments have been completed and are open to the public. The completed San Pablo Bay Trail will span the distance from Point Pinole Regional Shoreline in Richmond to Lone Tree Point in the Town of Rodeo, a distance of 10 miles. Representing interagency cooperation and a community-wide effort by individuals and groups, this trail provides improved access to the San Pablo Bay shoreline and creates an important recreational component for the communities it serves.

The westernmost portion of the San Pablo Bay Trail begins in the city of San Pablo and is accessible at the end of Pinole Shores Drive in the City of Pinole, where there is a 10 car parking lot open from 8am until 4pm.The next segment is accessible at the end of Tennent Avenue at Bay Front Park, where there is a 12 car parking lot. Heading east from the lot the trail crosses Pinole Creek into Hercules. Developed portions of the trail within the City of Hercules are accessible at the end of Sycamore Ave in the residential development of Victoria By the Bay. Street parking is available nearby. Further east in the Town of Rodeo, Lone Tree Beach and undeveloped portions of the trail corridor are accessible from the Lone Tree Staging area located on San Pablo Avenue at Pacific Avenue. Throughout its entire length, opportunities to view beautiful San Pablo Bay make for a pleasant trail experience.
