The Springfield Road area of Indian Creek MetroPark is located at 6500 Springfield Road, Oxford, OH and is along the west bank of Indian Creek and part of the 135-acre scenic natural area comprised of wooded hillsides, wetlands, bluffs with rock outcroppings and bottom lands. The varied landscape of native trees and a wide variety of wildflowers provide a backdrop for wildlife and hiking trails. A playground and the reservable Mayer Picnic Shelter can be accessed from this entrance to the park.
The Oxford Reily Road area of Indian Creek MetroPark is located at 1899 Oxford-Reily Road, Oxford, OH and is nestled along the east bank and part of 135 acres that straddles over a mile of Indian Creek. This entrance provides access to the dappled stream, popular for wading and hunting fossils and welcome shade at the picnic rest area.
Indian Creek MetroPark - Springfield Road Area - level 3 Parking area is paved with paved pathway access to playground. Shelter and portable toilet lack paved pathway access. Trails are very rigorous with steep inclines that are often muddy with tree roots exposed. There are also large box stairs that are filled with gravel. Weather changes this area frequently, leaving ruts in the trails.
Indian Creek MetroPark Oxford-Reily Road Area - level 3 Parking area is paved with connections to accessible vault latrine and kiosk. Trails are near water’s edge and consist of sand/dirt/gravel mix. Weather often changes the stability of the ground near the water’s edge. Those visiting the water’s edge should exercise caution.
