Forked Run is located in the heart of Appalachia, where visitors can experience the charm of wooded hillsides and scenic vistas. Adjacent to Shade River State Forest, the forests and fields of this region support a variety of wildlife and songbirds. Wildlife watching is easily done from Forked Run’s lake, trails, and picnic areas. Nearby, access to the Ohio River provides exceptional boating and fishing opportunities.
