East Glenwood Preserve
- Owned By
The East Glenwood Preserve provides opportunities for hiking, wildlife viewing, and horseback riding to the community. The preserve was protected in 2001 due to the presence of endangered and rare endemic species such as the Ohlone Tiger Beetle. A persistent band of local activists saved the preserve from development allowing the city to purchase and preserve it as open space. The City of Scotts Valley partners with the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County to manage the property for special species protection and compatible access. Parking for the preserve is off of Glenwood Drive and across from Vine Hill School.
