Enjoy nature’s beauty at Blue Rock, where deeply forested and rugged hills create a serene backdrop. The origins of Ohio’s modern landscape can be traced back to when the region was covered by a shallow inland sea. Silt from those waters formed the sedimentary shale that gives the park its name. Established in 1949, Blue Rock offers camping, archery, paddling and electric motorboating, fishing, horseback riding, and hiking. An equestrian trail connects with a longer trail in Blue Rock State Forest, which surrounds the park.
6am to 11pm daily. Visitors are permitted to actively engage in legitimate recreational activities outside these hours. If you have questions, call the park office.
