Description

A riparian habitat refers to the trees, shrubs, and other vegetation along rivers and streams. Much of the Refuge's River Trail follows the Tualatin River and several creeks that feed into it. This exploration site is a great place to rest your feet and take a quiet break as you listen and look for forest birds. Look in the tall pine trees right across the river and you may spot an eagle nest.
