Description
This forest is made up of a mix of hardwood, or deciduous, trees and some coniferous, or evergreen, trees. Hardwood are trees that often have broad leaves, as opposed to needles, which they drop during the winter and regrow each spring. "Hardwood" refers to how many of these trees commonly rot from the inside out when they die, leaving the hard exterior intact. Can you find the biggest hardwood tree in the forest?
