2022 Trails Challenge: Las Trampas Wilderness: Elderberry to Rocky Ridge via Sycamore

Looking for a challenging hike? Look no further. This strenuous 6 mile hike is located in the Las Trampas Regional Wilderness Park. Trail conditions vary from good to rugged and are mostly dirt or rocky paths. This hike has a significant elevation gain over 1,000ft! The trail starts at the Elderberry trailhead and connects to multiple trails including Devil’s Hole, Sycamore, and Rock Ridge View Trails. This trail offers 360 degree views of Mount Diablo, the Tri-Valley, and the San Leandro Watershed.
