Description

The City of San Ramon offers the Village Center Loop as one of five featured hikes for Fall 2020.  The loop consists of multiple trails and pathways to return hikers back to the starting location.  The Village Center Loop begins at the Dougherty Station Community Center and crosses the Alamo Creek before it travels into the surrounding neighborhood following a flat paved path through Amarante park.  At Ivy Leaf Springs Road, the trail turns left toward Stoneleaf Road.  At the traffic circle at the corner of Stoneleaf and Ivy Leaf Springs Road hikers will continue straight on to the Mourning Dove Trail and will climb towards the Old Dougherty Road trail.  Hikers will head south following the Old Dougherty Road and cross over the Alamo Creek.  At Bollinger Canyon Road, hikers will turn left and follow the sidewalk back towards the Dougherty Station Community Center.
