Earth Day activities on MV
Get outside in April and help clean up!
This year, look to Earth Day as the perfect excuse to support the island's incredible natural beauty. When you go out to explore the many miles of public walking trails and beaches this month, bring a trash bag (and a pair of plastic gloves) to pick up any litter you find along the way. It's a good thing to do anytime, but even more so now, with all the increased activity our trails have seen during the coronavirus year.
- The Vineyard Transit Authority is providing free bus service for anyone traveling to conservation sites from April 15–22 this year across the Island, along with complimentary clean-up tool kits.
- Join the Vineyard Conservation Society's annual Beach Clean-Up on April 17.
- Sign up for the MV Museum's conversation on climate change with Liz Durkee, climate change planner for the Martha’s Vineyard Commission, and the museum's librarian, Bow Van Riper. Thursday, April 15, at 4pm on Zoom.
